In the CHIJ National Cadet Corps (NCC) (Sea), we aim to nurture a community of Resilient, Responsible, and Relevant student leaders. Being NCC cadets, they experience the joy of overcoming challenges through annual camps and courses which are held at the NCC Headquarters (HQ) campus. They will be continuously challenged to be the best that they can be, and their holistic education and sense of belonging to both the school and NCC community are developed through meaningful and adventurous military-related and sea activities. CHIJ NCC (Sea) would be an avenue for them to not only be future-ready citizens, ready to serve and give back to the community, but more importantly, develop a sense of unforgettable camaraderie that they would cherish throughout their journey in CHIJ Secondary. To serve with Pride and Dedication!

Highlights:

  • Land training: Drills and regimentation, Bends & Hitches, Map navigation, Bonding games, Physical training, Sea and Cadet Proficiency assessments

  • Water training: Kayaking and Dragon Boating, 1-Star & 2-Star Kayaking

  • Camps and Courses: Camp FORGE (Sec 1s), Camp STEEL (Sec 2s), Sea Specialist Course & Senior Specialist Leadership Course (Sec 3s), Cadet Officer Course (Selected Sec 4s&5s) 

  • Unit Initiatives: Leadership Camp, Unit Camp, National Education (NE) Learning Journey

  • HQ NCC Sports and Service-related Competitions 

  • HQ NCC programmes: Affirmation Ceremony at Changi Naval Base, Air Rifle shoot, SAR21 live firing, Basic sailing course,  International Cadet Exchange Programme (ICEP), Exercise Puncak/ Mt Ophir Expedition, Ship visits, and more!

  • NCC Dragon Boat Championship (Girls) (Champion and 2nd Runner up)

  • 'C' Division Dragon Boat Championship (Girls) (2nd Runner up)

  • Mini Kayaking Expedition Finals (Girls) (Champion)  

  • NCC Sports Championship Soccer (Girls) (Cluster Champion)

  • NCC Sports Championship Captain's Ball (Girls) (Cluster Champion) 

  • NCC Sports Championship Frisbee (Girls) (Cluster 1st Runner up)

  • Outstanding Unit Award (OCA) awarded to Clover Low En Min and Chua Xin Yi Sherilyn from 4 Elizabeth
